Learn moreThe Lindab downpipe connector is used to connect two pipes if the male spigot has been removed. Regardless of male or female connection, the pipe connector can be installed to allow pipe offcuts to be used. Lindab’s downpipe connector is polished and low-maintenance thanks to firm, scratch-resistant polyester paint. It also comes with UV stability which means the colour can last for longer.
The Lindab pipe connector is part of the popular Rainline™ range. RainlineTM is an endurable range that has been tested and proven to offer the lowest carbon footprint rainwater system of any opposition. It is manufactured from 30% recycled material and is entirely recyclable, meaning the environmental impact of steel is lesser than that of plastic or other material. Manufacturing materials used in RainlineTM also means longer-lasting solutions with systems being able to last up 70 years.

Question:
I am replacing my rainwear and have opted for an oversize hopper on one corner because the majority of rain from four roofs terminates here. The aperture for the hopper is 87mm. Should i use this product to join to the downpipe or something else? Links to downpipe, bends and u shaped guttering would also be useful. Many thanks
Answer:
The Lindab 87mm Round Steel Pipe Connector is designed to connect two straight downpipe lengths together. However, in your situation, you won't require this connector as the hopper outlet is already designed to accept a standard 87mm downpipe directly. You can simply push-fit the downpipe into the hopper outlet.
