The ribs along the angled outer walls create a robust mortar key for a secure fit within the outer leaf construction. The diamond-shaped outlet easily details into the mortar joint and sits flush with the brickwork, while the tapering outlet ensures hassle-free cleaning. With a rear opening of 65mm, matching the full height of the perpend joint, this G953 Diamond Weep follows NHBC Technical Extra 17 guidelines for optimal drainage inlet from within the cavity. While offering a 4mm minimum opening for water drainage, it acts as a barrier against the intrusion of large insects.
When it comes to installation, simply embed the G951 Peep Weep into open perp joints, leaving around 10mm protruding from the brick face. Adhering to NHBC guidelines, ensure that the G950 Weep Vent is spaced at no greater than 900mm centres above DPC, and for optimal performance, position weep holes at every 450mm, with a minimum of two per opening above windows and doors.
