Description

Suited to applications where random stone or blockwork is specified, this Manthorpe left-handed GW292-SBS Intermediate Tray is ideal for larger course heights, typically 150mm and 225mm. Made from durable black polypropylene and part of the blockwork stepped tray system, it includes an upstand at one end to let the water run out of the tray down the cavity tray system.

It also includes an attached flexible perpend protector that limits the risk of driving rain penetrating the outer wall and tracking across the masonry, as well as a unique front mortar clip. The clip is removable at any time once the mortar has set, forming a 25mm deep aperture for lead to slide into before securing with lead wedges.

This tray has a length of 448mm. For 225mm coursing, it suits roof pitches between 35° and 55°. For 150mm coursing, it is suited to roof pitches from 25° up to 50°.

Installation

  • Strike a line or position a dummy truss 75mm away from the intended final roof line. Place one tray in each course where this line intersects. Avoid inserting the trays into the nearest perp end. You may need to cut blockwork to achieve the correct pitch, but this will be concealed by the lead flashing. Do not dry bed the trays. Instead, apply a thin skim of mortar for laying.

Please note:

  • The GW291 SBS and GW292 SBS Short Right and Left Hand Intermediate Trays can also be supplied with short or long lead securely attached with staples in either code 4 or code 5 (special order) lead.
