With an impressive 8,800mm² free vent area, this Manthorpe In-Line Slate Vent with a Built-in Spigot ensures efficient roof space ventilation and mechanical extraction on slate-covered roofs, whether natural or synthetic slates. Designed for discreet integration, its flush profile and lightly textured finish maintain a sleek appearance at both high and low levels.
Suitable for roof pitches down to 22.5°, this ventilator accommodates 600mm x 300mm slates and even works with smaller 500mm x 250mm slates. Wind tunnel tested at the BRE, it comes with a built-in spigot, eliminating the need for an adaptor.
The 4mm louvred grille and internal geometry create a path that optimises airflow while effectively directing water away from the vent and onto the roof covering. Additionally, its protective skirt enhances weatherproofing around the laps and adjacent slates. Achieving the required vent area is simplified, with spacings at 1.76m centres for a 5,000mm²/m vent area, 0.88m centres for a 10,000mm²/m vent area and 0.35m centres for a 25,000mm²/m vent area.
