In the shade of Charcoal, this Metrotile Slate II 900 Traditional Riven Profile offers a traditional slate roof appearance with fantastic value and performance. Much like traditional slate roof tiles, it has a pleasing aesthetic but comes with a variety of advantages.
Made from high-grade .900mm thick steel that is light in weight, this Metrotile Aluzinc®-coated profile features deep pressed lines to enhance shadow definition and strength, as well as provide excellent vandal and weather resistance. It is ideal for use across a selection of roofing projects.
With an overall tile size of 1330mm x 370mm, this Metrotile Slate 2 Profile offers coverage of 1257mm x 370mm, which equates to 0.46m² or 2.15 tiles per m². For a secure installation, you will need to use four 50mm x 2.8mm coated nails per tile, fixed either with a power tool or hand nailing. You will require 5 linear metres of batten required per m² (plus wastage).
For maximum rafter centres from 450mm up to 600mm, you will require 25mm x 50mm battens, while 900mm to 1200mm rafter centres will need 50mm x 50mm battens. For rafter centres up to 1500mm, your battens will need to be sized 50mm x 65mm.
