From Novia, this AirSeal 310 FR is a high tack halogen-free sealant. A polymer emulsion-based cartridge sealant, it is easy to apply and dries to flexible, smooth-surfaced materials. The result is movement capability in fire-rated linear joint and penetration seals. It is also readily over-paintable after curing to avoid off-putting colour clashes for a suitable aesthetic appeal.
Appropriate tests to various external testing have shown this sealant has excellent adhesion to numerous substrates and does not harden or crack with age. It performs well when sealing joints in air and vapour control layer applications. The material has also been fire-tested, meaning the sealant forms a fire and smoke seal in joints up to 35mm wide without slumping.
When paired with fire-rated material VC4000 Fire Rated Air and Vapour Control Layer, this AirSeal 310 FR sealant makes for the perfect sealing solution in hard-to-reach areas where tapes may not be accessible. This also improves the air and vapour seal, which may not be achievable in other circumstances.
