To ensure airtightness and optimal performance, the manufacturer recommends using Novia installation tapes for your roofing needs. Their range includes the Novia Breather Membrane Lap Tape for basic installations and the Novia Double-Sided Adhesive Tape for high-specification projects. Using both tapes will result in a long-lasting, high-quality, breathable and airtight seal, even in areas where the use of tape is not mandatory under the BS 5534 wind uplift test results.

Please note:

Novia® Black+ is coloured black on one side and grey on the other but with no text or images on either side, except overlap guidelines.
For wall or warm roof applications, it is important to install a Novia vapour barrier, such as Novia VC2 or VC200 Reflective, on the warm side of the insulation to prevent unwanted interstitial condensation. Even minor moisture contamination of 1-3% within the insulation can have a significant impact on the achieved thermal performance by over 30%.
While Novia Black+ Breather can minimise the risk of condensation within the roof space, in specific atmospheric conditions, the risk of condensation cannot be completely eliminated.
Ensure that sufficient ventilation is incorporated to comply with all relevant building regulations and technical standards, such as BS 5250.

Question:

Hi there can this be used and left exsposed in between larch cladding, they’d be 25mm strips either side on the larch . It’s going on a timber frame exstention that’s latted and fire boarded but would like this and the larch as a finish

Can this be used under a metal sheeted roof on a field shelter to stop the drips and condensation?

It's fully waterproof so if you were a bit lower as long as you overlap it you shouldn't have any issues - I have checked this with Novia directly
