Suitable for use within the walls of timber frame constructions or for limiting the passage of water vapour, this higher-grade polythene Vapour Control Layer (VCL) is CPR-compliant and CE-approved to EN 13984:2013.
This 1200 gauge virgin grade polythene VCL has been designed for use on the interior (warm side) of insulated buildings to control the flow of water-vapour which is a natural by-product of standard building use.
When not using this membrane within your construction, there is a substantial risk of condensation within the building structure which potentially leads to long-term damage and a short-term significant increase in cooling and heating costs. As low as 3% moisture accumulated within a building's insulation has been shown to adversely impact insulation performance by up to one-third.
