An ideal option for mechanically fixing insulation to steel, timber and concrete decks alongside the relevant SureFast® fasteners, this Surefast Tube Washer has a length of 125mm, is supplied in a pack of 100 and has a polypropylene structure. It works to prevent thermal transmittance and eliminate unwinding forces while avoiding any damage inflicted upon the head by the fastener membrane.
When choosing fasteners, ensure the advised minimum deck penetration or embedment while considering the entire roof system build-up, including pressure plates, membranes, insulation, vapour barriers, or separation layers. To find the ideal fastener for tube washer applications, calculate the total build-up, subtract the tube length, and account for deck penetration. Add 25mm for the fastener within the tube and select a fastener at this length or longer. For instance, with an 85mm build-up on a 0.7mm steel deck using a 60mm tube, and utilising the BS-5.8 range of fasteners.
