This system is compatible with a variety of Redland tiles and slates with concrete Half Round, Universal Angle and Rosemary Half Round Ridge Tiles. Exceptions include Old Hollow, Redland 49, Cathedral and Postel.

Application

This system is ideal for constructions with traditional timber rafters, timber trussed rafters and rigid sarking. It fits a straight and even ridgeline with equal pitches on either ridge side. If used alongside traditional timber rafters, the height of the ridge board above the rafter apex will change the height of the necessary ridge batten. Ridge tile securing screws should obtain a 15mm minimum penetration. For timber sarking, sarking should be short of apex for a 10mm air gap. Underlays are cut and upturned between counter battens, as well as fixed to tiling battens tops. Counter battens are extended for an apex that backs the ridge tree batten. Counter battens and rafters on adjacent roof slopes should align.

Profile Filler Units (uPVC - Grey) which are tile specific
6 x black polypropylene Ridge-to-Ridge seals (Universal Angle or Half Round) with Stainless Steel woodscrews and clamp plates
6 x Stainless Steel Ridge Batten straps with 12 Stainless Steel ring shank nails

Please note:

A special pack (9396) is required when using Ornamental Universal Angle Ridge Tiles.
Where Gas Flue Ridge Terminals are used with the system, Gas Flue Conversion Packs should be used. One pack per Terminal.
Not for use in a pitch below 15°.
