Learn moreAs the ultimate choice for cost-effective roofing, this Richmond 10 slate seamlessly emulates the elegance of genuine slate. With remarkable features like a slim leading edge and concealed interlock, it ensures a visually pleasing slate-like appearance without compromising durability, strength or weather resistance.
The iconic Redland range has been completely reimagined to incorporate cutting-edge concrete tile technology. Richmond 10, along with its thin leading-edge variants, including Saxon 10, Landmark 10 and MockBond Richmond 10, presents a stunning roofing solution for any architectural design, even at pitches as low as 17.5°. With coverage of approximately ten slates per square metre and a unique single annular ring-shank fixing system, installing Richmond 10 Slates is now faster and easier than ever before. They can be fixed with 45mm x 3mm aluminium alloy nails or 45mm x 3.35mm stainless steel ring-shank nails.
While maintaining the classic Slate Grey colour, this Richmond 10 roof slate is also available in captivating Flame Red and Rust Brown variations as well as two intense options of Black and Blue. Not only do these shades enhance the authentic aesthetic of slate, but they also accentuate the distinctive thin leading-edge design.
This Richmond 10 slate is suitable for use on a minimum pitch of 17.5° at a 100mm headlap and 22.5° at a 75mm headlap. You can achieve coverage of 10.5 slates per square metre with a 318mm gauge and 9.7 slates per square metre with a 343mm gauge. For rafter centres up to 450mm, you will require a 38mm x 25mm batten size, while for larger rafter centres up to 600mm, a 50mm x 25mm sized batten should be used. In terms of quantity, 3.15 metres of battens are needed per square metre with a 318mm gauge, while 2.92 metres per square metre is sufficient with a 343mm gauge.

Question:
Is the Redland Richmond 10 tiles compatible with the Brecon Grey Redland Landmark Slates tiles (circa 2000)
Answer:
While the Redland Richmond 10 tiles and the Redland Landmark Slates tiles are both designed by Redland and have similar dimensions, they are not truly interchangeable across a roof. The Richmond 10 tiles have a unique design with a thin leading edge and hidden interlock, which may not match the design and look of the Landmark Slate tiles. For a seamless look, it is usually recommended to use the same type of tile across the entire roof. You can find more information about the Richmond 10 tiles in the product's data sheet and product brochure. If you need further assistance or have questions about other Redland products, I would recommend reaching out to our customer service team or using our website search to find the correct product.
