What amount and products would I need to coat twice or 3 times on a 35 year old slight sloping slate garage roof.would I have to put any top coat material on it. What would be the cost please.

No this is for flat - or close to flat roofs only

Can this be used over mineral felt

Answer:

You would need to brush as much as possible off and you may need to apply an extra coat of rubber as it is only 1mm thick

I note you need a dry day to apply this product, what happens if it rains the day after or there is an overnight frost just after applying it?

Answer:

As long as the first coat had dried you should not have any issues

Question:

Can this product be applied to an old asbestos flat roof on my garage which has now become porous in places and leaks badly in winter. Would l also need to prime the roof first as l have had problems getting Bitumen paint etc to adhere to the Asbestos surface ?

Answer:

You could use this but if the surface is porous you would need to use a flood coat first to prime the surface.

is this safe to paint a water coarse on fishpond?

Answer:

This is only suggested for roofing, I am afraid it is not tested for ponds so could be hazardouse to the fish.

hi there can this product be poured over an old ash felt roof or would i need to prime it first

Answer:

Do i need to prime first before I use the flexible waterproof coating on my existing felt?

Answer:

The suppliers advise use of a Flood Coat on porous surfaces like concrete but should not be wholly necessary for felt. But is must be cleaned/free of debris and bone dry before applying Liquid Rubber.

Not a primer but if you are applying to a porous surface you should use the Flood coat first, please see below from suppliers data sheet.

'If Rubber Roof is being used on a porous surface such as concrete, prior to preparation proceed with applying EcoProof Flood Coat to the area using a brush or roller at a typical application rate of 4-5sq/m per ltr (may vary depending on surface condition) and allow to cure.'

can this product be used on a wooden shed roof ?

Answer:

Yes this would be fine but on porous surfaces best to use the flood coat first before applying.

Answer:

This is comparable as also a Liquid Rubber System and high quality.

can this product be used on lead? what surfaces can it be used on?

Answer:

This would not be suitable for use on Lead I am afraid. It is mainly suitable for felt/concrete/asbestos roofs but if you email us any photos of the roof you have to cover to sales@roofingsuperstore.co.uk we can always check with the suppliers for you.

Can this product be used in tropical weather?

Answer:

Question:

Do you apply this to a wet or dry existing felt roof

Answer:

The Rubber Roof needs completely dry material in order to apply it and also a dry couple of days to be able to cure fully so not suitable for wet application I am afraid.
