For alkali, bitumen, algae and mould resistance across a selection of floor joist and decking applications, this RDA-7 self-levelling adjustable decking pedestal is constructed from recycled polypropylene. Able to withstand 2100kg compression and operate in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 120°C, the pedestal is fantastic for height corrections between 300mm and 400mm.
Time wasting installations can be cut down without the need for any shims while correcting heights and making adjustments. This pedestal is provided with a height extension collar that allows build-ups of up to 100mm and includes a threaded section to ensure that all adjustments are accurate down to the millimetre.
The wide support base efficiently protects membranes from enduring any weight related damage and, with versatile joist lugs for differing bearer widths of up to 100mm, the self-levelling bearer support head uses a ball and socket joint to form a pristinely level system with corrections up to 10.5%, or 6°. The head itself can be interchanged with a deck tile head for applications that require decking tiles rather than timber.
Question:
How many are suggested per square metre for composite decking please? I am looking at 12 - 13m2 of decking.
Answer:
You would use them at least every 400mm along your timber supports, so best to look at the total timber you are using and work out a qty from that total linear meterage.
Question:
Hi there just a quick question on how do you fix the decking joist to RDA-7?
Answer:
They rest against the fixing bracket on the top and can then be screwed through that bracket.
