Compatible with all types of decking or floor joists, this self-levelling adjustable decking pedestal from RynoDeck allows for height corrections between 300mm to 400mm without using shims. A wide supporting base spreads the load of the decking easily, protecting membranes from being pierced by the weight of the load.
Above the supporting base sits a height extension collar allowing for 100mm build-ups with the adjustable threaded section above allowing for more precise millimeter adjustment within the given range. Not needing shims reduces the amount of time it takes to find the correct height adjustment and equates to less parts being needed on site, with no chance that you don’t have enough shims to complete the job.
A self-levelling bearer support head tops out the pedestal and features a ball and socket joint for levelling correction of up to 10.5%, or 6°, for a perfectly level system. The versatile joist lugs on the self-levelling head allow for varying bearer widths of up to 100mm and an interchangeable deck tile head can replace the bearer support head for laying decking tiles instead of timber.
Manufactured from mould-resistant, algae-resistant, alkali-resistant, and bitumen-resistant recyclable polypropylene, RynoDeck pedestals can support up to 2100kg compression in a temperature range of -40°C to 120°C.
Height Range: 300mm - 400mm
Question:
How many are suggested per square metre for composite decking please? I am looking at 12 - 13m2 of decking.
Answer:
You would use them at least every 400mm along your timber supports, so best to look at the total timber you are using and work out a qty from that total linear meterage.
Question:
Hi there just a quick question on how do you fix the decking joist to RDA-7?
Answer:
They rest against the fixing bracket on the top and can then be screwed through that bracket.
