The New Cassius is designed in collaboration with the UK's leading contractors to replace and improve upon the old Cassius range. The New Cassius offers a robust and versatile alternative to natural slate, both cost-saving and easily installed with its large format, open gauge and hidden interlocks.
The large format and open gauge design offer substantial savings in material, labour, weight and completion times without tops or eaves tiles. Pressed from natural alluvial Humber clay, it enhances longevity with minor irregularities for natural charm and texture. High-performance, this tile has a weatherproof design produced through rigorous wind tunnel testing with Sandtoft's extended roofing experience.
When installing, you should lay a 100mm wide bed of underlay onto the under cloak. Bed the verge tiles onto the mortar and nail each one, securing the tails of the tiles in the verge clips.
