Made from recyclable plastic and Dolomite limestone, this Pewter Grey coloured Tapco Synthetic Slate Roof Tile has been manufactured with a production induced camber, ensuring your slates follow the roof contours for maximum wind uplift protection. They also have exceptional weathering characteristics, meaning they are not only impervious to water, but they will not curl, lift or delaminate over time.

Designed by Tapco to be lightweight and easy to handle, these 650g tiles are incredibly simple to install. They require no pre-drilling and can be fixed by either a hammer and nail or a nail gun. Not only are Tapco Synthetic Slate Roof Tiles straightforward to work with, but unlike natural slate, the risk of breaking these synthetic slates are also dramatically reduced, saving you money and stress during installation.

23 slates per m² at 14° to 25° with a 6" (152mm) guage
20 slates per m² at 25° to 27.5° with a 6.5" (165mm) gauge
19 slates per m² at 27.5° to 30° with a 7" (178mm) gauge
18 slates per m² at 30° to 90° with a 7.5" (191mm) gauge

Fixing

To fix, large-headed galvanised 1.2 inches (30mm) by 0.1 inches (2.5mm) steel nails (using hammer or nail-gun) are recommended. Aluminium or copper nails may also be used, but driving them through the slate may cause bending. If you need to cut any tiles, use a fine-toothed handsaw, jigsaw, circular saw, or sharp utility blade.

The slates can be slippery under certain conditions, meaning all job site safety procedures should be adhered to.
These slates are typically delivered on a six-wheeled lorry (11m long & 2.4m wide) with a tail-lift facility to offload on solid, level ground with a pump truck.
Non-compliance to delivery restrictions may result in additional delivery charges. Should you specifically require a crane or small vehicle offload, please notify us when placing the order, as you may incur an additional charge.
