Question:
How do you connect this to ducting from a bathroom extractor fan?
Answer:
To connect the Timloc Double Pantile Tile Vent to the ducting from a bathroom extractor fan, you would typically require an adapter kit. This vent can be connected to a ducted ventilation system. To achieve this, you would need the following: 1. Timloc RTV-ADS Standard Adapter: This attaches to the underside of the tile vent and provides a connection to 110mm ducting. 2. Timloc RTV-ADMULTI Multi Adapter (if required): This adapter modifies the vent to suit 100mm, 110mm, 125mm, or 150mm duct sizes. 3. Flexible insulated ducting: This would run from the fan to the roof vent. 4. Duct clips / foil tape: These are used to secure and seal connections. Please note that these adapter kits are not included with the vent and would need to be purchased separately. Question:
How do you prevent rain ingress with this vented tile. It looks like the Louvres are exposed to the rain and water will pour in to the vent?
Answer:
The Timloc Double Pantile Tile Vent has been designed with a unique feature to prevent rain ingress. The vent's structure includes an internal rainwater diverter which channels any rainwater that enters the vent safely back out onto the roof. This ensures that water does not enter your roof space. The louvres are indeed exposed, but they are designed to allow air to flow in and out without letting water in.
