Compatible with the VELUX 2-in-1 Roof Window, this VELUX EDWS 2000 flashing kit will help you achieve a discreet, fully integrated roof window installation within tiled roofs with profiles of up to 120mm. To help you achieve optimal energy efficiency, the flashing also comes with a BDX and a BFX collar as standard, both of which are quick and easy to install.

As well as providing your window with a completely watertight seal between your roof window and profiled roof covering, this VELUX flashing's ingenious built-in guttering system will ensure that rainwater is efficiently channelled away from your roof. To ensure the channels do not become blocked by falling leaves and other types of debris, you are advised to remove any blockages from your flashings at least once a year.

Suitable for roof pitches between 15° and 90°, the EDWS flashing is also compatible with other types of roof covering that have a profile up to 120mm, such as profiled sheeting, interlocking slates, and can even be used in thatched roof installations. The maximum profile of your roof covering is determined by measuring from the top of the tile batten to the highest point of the tile. When installing the EDWS flashing, install the brackets at the top and the bottom of the window frame at the red line level.

Which installation products are included in the VELUX EDWS 2000 Tile Flashing Kit?

Designed to reduce heat loss from your home and eradicate the risk of cold bridges from occurring, the VELUX BDX Insulation Collar insulates around the VELUX roof window frame and is incredibly easy to install. The VELUX BFX Underfelt Collar will provide a watertight seal between the roof and window and will also lessen the risk of condensation.

Please note:

  • You are advised to remove leaves and other debris from your flashing at least once a year to allow rainwater to run freely from your VELUX window.
