VELUX's New Generation features create an advanced and high-quality window. The pane area is greater by up to 18% for the best light exposure and the insulation materials are high performing. With commendable ventilation and discrete exterior expressions, the window has a contemporary design that is appealing to the eye. This top-operated roof window can be easily operated, even with furniture under it. Thanks to the top control bar, the window can be fitted lower than an equivalent bottom-operated window for incredible views when you're both standing and sitting.
For better noise reduction than VELUX's --34 and -59 glazing, their --70 double glazing provides a 6.4mm laminated inner pane for additional safety and a 4mm toughened outer pane. The latter pane has a low-E coating included.
Solar Operation works similarly to Electric Operation, being that it is easy to install and suits windows that are difficult to get to. However, it is instead sun powered with a PV solar cell on the external window. The sensors detect rain and can close windows on their own.
