From VELUX, this GGU SK06 SD0W140 smoke ventilation system for 120mm tiles features a centre-pivot roof window that has electric operation, double glazing and a white polyurethane finish. The system is provided with the necessary elements, as well as an EDW flashing kit for flat or profiled roofing materials with up to 120mm profiles.

Designed to effectively release heat and smoke, the VELUX smoke ventilation control system is packed with a wide range of impressive features. The smoke ventilation window automatically opens to a full fire position within a mere 60 seconds of smoke ventilation activation, but it can also be opened when a flow of clean air is needed.

Smoke ventilation windows have undergone exhaustive testing to ensure conformity to all EU requirements. This window's white polyurethane finish offers fantastic moisture-resistance and minimal maintenance needs.

The VELUX double glazing (70) provides comfort with its various features. Indoor environments are kept quiet with the up to 35dB sound insulation and rain noise reduction. The safety lamination limits the risk of broken glass spilling into the room if the window is damaged, and the toughened glass ensures that the outer pane protects against external environmental factors. The integrated UV filter offers optimal protection for your indoor furnishings and prevents sun rays from causing those items to fade.

Standards & Certification

  • Tested according to DIN EN 12101-2

Please note:

  • For aerodynamic smoke ventilation, the system is certified to EN ISO12101-1 for roof pitches between 15° and 60°. For geometric smoke ventilation, the system is certified to EN ISO12101-2 for roof pitches between 15° and 90°.
  • For compliance with aerodynamic smoke ventilation requirements, you can include the optional KFD external wind deflector.
  • The EDW flashing is also for use with interlocking slate, thatch and profiled sheeting.
