Description

This comprehensive VELUX smoke ventilation system comes with all the essential components required for a complete installation including a break glass point, wall control unit (KFX 210) and smoke sensor. For compatibility with flat or profiled roofing materials up to 120mm in profile, such as pantiles, interlocking slate, corrugated sheets and thatched roofs, an EDW flashing kit is also included.

The VELUX smoke ventilation window has been specially designed to swiftly release excess heat and smoke. In just 60 seconds from the start of the smoke ventilation process, it can open fully to the fire position. It has been fully tested and certified to conform with all EU requirements. This VELUX smoke ventilation control system offers many functions like automatic window opening and allowing air circulation to enhance indoor comfort.

Featuring a white polyurethane finish, the VELUX sloped roof window requires no maintenance and is resistant to moisture, making it perfect for use in humid areas such as kitchens.

The VELUX pitched roof window comes with double glazing (70) which has numerous premium features including an inner pane with safety lamination to inhibit glass from falling into your room if it were to accidentally shatter, toughened glass on the outer pane for further strength and resilience against adverse weather conditions and other environmental factors and a UV filter that safeguards your furniture from the sun's harmful UV rays which can cause colours to fade. It also boasts unique rain noise reduction which offers up to 35dB of sound insulation, ensuring a peaceful environment, uninterrupted by heavy rainfall.

  • For geometric smoke ventilation, this system is certified to EN ISO12101-2 for roof pitches between 15° and 90°
  • For aerodynamic smoke ventilation, this system is certified to EN ISO12101-1 for roof pitches between 15° and 60°. For optimised aerodynamic ventilation areas, it can be upgraded with an optional KFD external wind deflector.
