Question:
My client would like a 3 or 4 window version of the twin terrace GEL M08 SE0L223 rooflight. is there such a thing or would it be a matter of putting 2 together. I take it that double attic type trusses are required between each window and at both sides? Joe McCormick, McCormick Design, Architectural Consultants
Answer:
In response to your query, the VELUX GEL M08 SE0L223 Twin Roof Terrace is designed as a two-window system. To achieve a 3 or 4 window configuration, you may need to consider installing two of these units side by side. However, this would depend on the specific requirements and structural integrity of the building. As for the trusses, it's likely that additional support will be necessary between each window and on both sides. This is to ensure the stability and safety of the structure. But, the exact requirements would depend on your specific project and should be confirmed by a structural engineer.
