This water based deck adhesive is to be used as the main area adhesive with the ClassicBond system.
Coverage
5 litres will cover approximately 20 - 25m2.
Description
This high strength low odour water based acrylic adhesive is specifically designed for use with ClassicBond and Firestone EPDM roofing membranes to a range of deck surfaces.
Designed to be roller applied to flat roof surfaces.
ClassicBond WBA will bond ClassicBond EPDM membrane to a range of conventional timber roof surfaces e.g. plywood, OSB. All boards should be resistant to moisture but not sealed with adhesive repellent waxes or other nonabsorbent systems. If in doubt a small test area should be laid. Certain roof surfaces may not be suitable for use with this adhesive, for example, non-porous roof decks or those of low vapour permeability, i.e. metal or existing GRP.

Question:
Do I need to use a bonding agent on the edges of a small log cabin roof or can i just use this adhesive right to the edges?
Answer:
You can use this for the whole roof if going onto boards, you would only need the contact adhesive if doing any detailing or dressing up upstands etc.
Question:
Is it possible to adjust position of The EPDM before the adhesive sets I am putting 9. Sq. metres of EPDM onto a summerhouse roof, I do not usually do this type of covering. Any advice would be appreciated, it’s heavy stuff to lift up onto a roof, any tips?
Answer:
When using the waterbased adhesive some adjustment is possible, but best thing to do is first lay out the sheet so you know it is square, then fold it over on itself and do one side then vice verca.
Question:
Would this be the right product to use with EPDM membrane to fix on shed roof?
Answer:
Yes this is the correct adhesive to bond EPDM to a timber deck.
