Description

For optimal results, start with thorough preparation. Clean the substrate of any loose material, jagged edges or debris like stones. Utilise a vacuum for a pristine surface. Remember, a well-prepared surface yields superior results. Ensure the surface is dry; avoid application on wet surfaces. Address damp spots with a heat gun or gas torch.

Carefully and evenly apply this primer to prevent ponding, adhering to the 0.2kg per m² requirement. This Same-Day Elastathane Universal Primer dries in 2-4 hours, depending on humidity and temperature. Achieve perfect adhesion by applying the Elastathane 25 PU membrane immediately after the primer dries at a rate of 1.5 to 1.8kg per m², creating a 1.2mm layer.

Please note:

In case of a delay due to weather or other factors, opt for the Next Day Elastathane Super Seal Primer, allowing 24 hours before the Elastathane 25 liquid PU application. The Next Day Primer offers excellent adhesion and chemical bonding, anchoring itself to the substrates. Elastathane cannot be coated until after 12 hours.
For weak areas, joints, upstands or corners, use Elasta Tex Scrim and apply wet on wet. Address open joints or gaps post-primer application with Cromar Polyflex PU Sealant, a crucial step before applying the main coat.
