Coverage
The coverage rates will vary with roof profile and substrate porosity. The first coat application will give a guideline coverage of 3 - 5m² per litre. The second coat application will be at a coverage rate of 7 - 10m² per litre.
Application
Cromar Renocoat should not be used on painted surfaces or high density/low suction substrates such as glazed brick and tiles, engineering bricks and natural slate tiles.
Work should only be carried out in dry conditions, do not apply if rain is forecast within six hours of application and when the relative humidity level exceeds 90%. Do not apply in frosty conditions or when the substrate temperature is below 5° or above 35°C. Do not apply when the roof tile temperature is above 35° to ensure that no premature surface drying occurs. Cromar Renocoat may be applied by brush or airless sprayer. Do not thin prior to use, Cromar Renocoat will withstand rainfall after two hours in favourable drying conditions. Apply the first coat and leave to dry overnight before applying the second coat.
Preperation
Clean the surface by power washing and/or brushing with a stiff brush. Replace broken or missing tiles and re-cement ridge/top tiles. Apply Cromar Moss & Mould Remover solution to prevent further fungal/algae growth. Apply two coats of Cromar Renocoat.

Question:
I have 25 year old detached garage with a fibre cement grey slate tile. In recent years the surface seems to be losing its coating, showing a whitish grey colour and not in keeping with the rest of the house's grey slate tile. Will this Cromar Renocoat restore these tiles and how would it look against the rest of the house fibre cement slate that are still in good order and 5 years newer
Answer:
This would be suitable to spruce up the tiles you have, the colour match to existing tiles on the house can never be guaranteed but it will defintiely help improve the overall look for you.
