Description

This Cromapol roof coating paint can withstand ponding, covers the surface in only one coat and provides a seamless finish. It typically does not require any primer and delivers excellent adhesion as a fully flexible yet reinforced membrane. With outstanding solar reflectivity, it ensures immediate protection and a cost-effective solution with 1 to 2kg per m² of coverage on average.

This roof-coating paint has a drying time of up to 72 hours dependent on the ambient temperature. With a 12-month shelf life under good storage conditions in original unopened containers, it should be stored away from children, preferably in temperatures from 5°C to 20°C and under cover.

Can this be painted on an existing painted GRP roof. If so what preparation is required? The existing roof was initially covered using a Cure It Roofing Kit in grey and is badly faded but not leaking. It’s approx 3sq metres.

You can paint this on top of a GRP roof, but make sure it very clean

Yes this would be sufficient to cover the area you have.

No it will go straight on, but it would be advisable to key the fibreglass first

Answer:

Cromapol is not fibreglass but an Acrylic solution, but it would also do the job of helping refurb and waterproof a garage roof.

Is this more of a light grey (the white end of the spectrum) or dark grey (the black end)? I'm looking for dark grey. Can you recommend?

Answer:

This is a lighter grey colour, rather than dark. We do not really have a dark grey option but they do offer a 20kg drum in black (linked below).

Hi, after applying Cromapol to a flat roof can it be walked upon? Also how long does it last for before needing to be re coated?

Answer:

This is only suitable for very light and infrequent foor traffic, as it will remain tacky in warm weather. The lifespan of the product is about 5-10 years.

This Cromapol would certainly suit for that application.

Can Cromapol be painted over with masonry paint when dry?

Answer:

As Cromapol never fully cures/hardens it is not suitable for painting over.

This product is GREY, it could be applied over GRP but you may need to sand off any shine from the surface first to allow it to bond.

This is very thick so better to brush apply.
