This double glazed opal Em-Dome with an uPVC curb has been created to make the most of natural light as a quality thermoformed rooflight. The opal properties increase security due to the translucent finish while maintaining high light transmission, consistently diffusing light throughout the area below.
Including patented high security screwbolts that are provided factory fitted as standard, this unique feature ensures that once fitted, the Em-Dome installation cannot be removed with the use of common tools. Providing a high level of resilience against forced entry or tampering, the screwbolt has a fixing bolt or screw that is sleeved within its body which prevents pressure from being exerted on this rooflight glazing as the fitting is secured, essentially removing the risk of stress fractures caused by over-tightening.
This opal diffused Em-Dome has been thermoformed from polycarbonate sheet with double skin and a minimum of 3mm thick glazing, which makes it virtually unbreakable with impact strength up to 250 times greater than glass.
