Description

Cost-effective and available in different colours and sizes, this durable Eurodec 50mm concrete flat coping stone is formed from a handmade manufacturing process. Materials are quarried and moulded.

Resistant to fading from UV rays, Eurodec coping stones are made to order. Final finishes depend on exposure to sunlight and weathering.

Features & Benefits: Eurodec 50mm Flat Concrete Coping Stone

  • Durable and hard-wearing
  • Handmade from quarried materials
  • Different sizes and colours available for purchase
  • Resists fading caused by UV rays in normal climates
  • Two drop grooves direct water away from walls
  • Cost-effective and reliable option

The coping stone features two 10mm wide drip grooves positioned 20mm from either side of the stone. These grooves allow rainwater to drip to the floor, ensuring that it stays away from the wall to avoid staining and damage.

Please note:

  • Acid-based cleaners and high-pressure washers are not advised for cleaning.
  • Cleaners need to be tested on small areas before using.
  • Close by plants can lead to staining.
  • Handmade parts are prone to 10mm tapering at the corners and manufacturing tolerances.

These do have drip grooves - any that do not will specify this in the notes on that specific size of stone.

Drip Grooves

  • 15mm from either side of the stone.
  • 10mm groove width.

Question:

hi why is the 500mm wide coping more expensive than 600mm

This will likely be due to the tooling costs in manufacturing for this supplier.

Yes you can find a link to the flat option below, just select size/colour from the drop down menus.

https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/eurodec-50mm-flat-concrete-pier-cap.html

Question:

Hi I would like to put these on a 21cm concrete block wall, the wall will have grass butting up to one side and open on the other, the wall is not rendered. What would be the best width to use? thanks

Answer:

It is best to leave ar least 25mm overhang each side for the drip grooves on the stone so the 280mm wide would be perfect.

Question:

Is there a drip groove on either side with this size 600x170 as my wall is 125mm in width

Answer:

Yes, it is advised to allow approx 25mm overhang each side for the drip grooves.

Question:

Are these suitable for a retaining garden wall?

Answer:

Yes these would be suitable for a garden wall.

Question:

We want to fix glass balustrade to these are they suitable?

Answer:

Not on their own I am afraid.

If you want them with ballustrade fixing you also need to order the below upgrade with the stones (on unit of the listing below per stone - then our suppliers will make them order with reinforcement for you).

https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/reinforced-coping-stone-upgrade-for-a-balustrade-fixing.html

Question:

Do you make any different heights for PT6030/S. Anywhere between 80 and 90mm would be acceptable?

Answer:

Unfortunately not, the flat stones are only available in this one standard thickness of 50mm.

Question:

Is it possible to get these in a 40mm thickness?

Answer:

Unfortunately not, the flat copings are only available in this standard 50mm size.

Question:

I want to put these on a 6 inch concrete block wall. The wall will be rendered on both sides. What is the best width to accommodate this allowing for the drip channels?

Answer:

You need to allow at least 25mm overhang each side so the 280mm would be the best to go for.

Question:

Can these be cut to length ok on site?

Answer:

These can be cut on site, you would need to use an angle grinder.

Question:

Do the Eurodec 50mm Flat Concrete Coping Stone 600mm x 280mm and 600mm x 180mm - Slate have a trip edge along the outer edges?

Answer:

Yes both of these stones will include drip grooves, please allow at least 25mm overhang each side to accomodate the grooves.

Question:

Hi are the coping stones pre drilled and slotted for the fixings you supply?

Answer:

Unfortunately not, if you wanted to use the fixing dowels they would need to be drilled on site.

Question:

Hi, the description states that there is drip grooves but I cannot see them on the photo. Are they present? Thanks

Answer:

Yes all coping stones have the drip grooves located about 15mm in from each side and approx 10mm wide, so best to allow at least 25mm overhang each side to allow for this.

Question:

150mm width and 30mm thickness. Would need 2 pieces: 760mm and 480mm long. Are you able to do these sizes? If yes, what would be the price

Answer:

I am afraid the coping stones are only available in the 600mm lengths and colours on this listing no custom lengths or colours available, apologies.

Question:

Hi what is the delivery time of Eurodec 50mm flat concrete coping 600 x 400 - slate

Answer:

As these are made to order the delivery time is 10-15 working days.

Question:

Are these coping stones suitable for using as a step?

Answer:

I'm sorry to say that the coping stones wouldn't work as a step as theses have got a smooth finish so it will be very slippery in the rain and cold weather.

Question:

on the once weathered coping, what is the dimension from the drip from the edge or do you have a section drawing?

Answer:

The drips are approx 15mm in from the edge of the stone and approx 10mm wide, so we advise to always leave at least 25mm overhang each side when choosing a size.

Question:

We are installing glass balastrade and need to drill onto them. Are they strong for this application?

Answer:

If you want to fix into the stones then you need to order the Ballustrade upgrade along with them, just order one of the items on the following link per stone.....https://www.roofingsuperstore.co.uk/product/reinforced-coping-stone-upgrade-for-a-balustrade-fixing.html......this means they reinforce the mix when making them to ensure they are suitable for fixing into.

Question:

Is this product completely flat or is there a fall from one side to the other?

Answer:

This is a completely flat topped coping stone, using mortar it would be possible to lay these with a slight angle to provide a sloped element. Alternatively; once weathered coping stones are available with a single face sloping to one side.
