Before application, it is essential that concrete is a minimum of six months old. Although priming is generally not mandatory, if deemed necessary, a priming coat consisting of a mixture of one part white spirit to four parts paint can be applied and left to dry. The drying time of Everbuild floor paint varies according to the ambient temperature, but it typically dries within two to three hours after application.

Ensure that surfaces are clean, free of any grease or other contaminants, and completely dry to the touch. Eliminate any loose or peeling material using a scraper and stiff brush until the surface is sound. Banish any traces of moss or mould using Everbuild moss and mould remover. In certain cases, chemically or mechanically hardened floors may need abrasion before use. It is advisable to test a small area before applying to the entire surface if any uncertainty exists.

Please note:

  • Low temperatures can significantly prolong drying time.
  • Apply with a brush or roller for an even coating. Two coats are normally required allowing 16 to 24 hours between coats.
  • Clean tools and brushes using white spirits/turps subs after use. Cured product can be removed using xylene.
  • Store in cool, dry conditions, between 5°C and 25°C.
  • Protect from frost.
  • Shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacture.
