This versatile, multi-purpose acoustic board, with a 22mm thickness and tongue and groove (T&G) edging, has been designed to be used for both flooring and ceiling applications. Its high-density composition provides concentrated mass, making it an ideal choice for environments with elevated acoustic and fire safety requirements.
In terms of fire performance, this JCW Cement Particle Board has a 30-minute fire rating for its 22mm thickness and 22.5kg/m² weight. This rating can be increased to 60 minutes by adding an extra layer of 12.5mm fire-rated board.
When used in ceiling applications, this JCW Cement Bonded Particle Board can enhance acoustic performance due to its mass content and ability to minimise sound leakage through the tongue and groove joints. Additionally, when supported by Single Fix resilient bars, with a maximum weight of approximately 30kg/m², or Twin Fix resilient bars, with a maximum weight of approximately 50kg/m², it will significantly improve impact and airborne sound performance.
