Lomanco’s solar powered vent turbine, ENERGO EKO, is for ventilating roof spaces, roof decks, attics and the interior of your building. The combination of wind-powered ventilation and solar-powered ventilation means this vent can is guaranteed to provide at least the minimum performance needed for each application.
This solar powered turbine works by using a photovoltaic panel to harvest the sun’s energy in a rechargeable battery. When there isn’t enough wind, or any wind at all, to rotate the turbine then the Lomanco ENERGO EKO will switch to being powered by the stored electricity. When the wind is powering the vent the solar panel will charge the battery for its next use. It’s a perfectly environmentally-friendly system that’s self-sufficient and completely off the grid.
As well as the vent performing without wind present you can purchase upgrade sensors to fit to your turbine to ensure the vent is optimised for your needs. For example, a thermal sensor can be fitted to ensure that your vent maintains the temperature you set for the space below, or a moisture sensor can be fitted to offer you the exact humidity you require. Also available are variable gearboxes to ensure a minimum turbine rotation and speed sensors to guarantee performance even if the weather conditions aren’t suitable.
The solar powered vent turbine features a large flashing on the base so it’s easy to install. The exclusive vari-pitch base allows installation in roof pitches from 0° to 45°. Made up on entirely rust-proof aluminium components, this vent turbine includes:
This Lomanco vent has been tested to winds of up to 110 miles per hour and has 21 rolled-edge vanes designed to deflect water to protect the interior of your space. It’s also fitted with overload protection so damage won’t be made to the system when the weather is adverse or when winds are extremely strong. All turbines come with Lifetime Transferable Warranty - please note, this lifetime warranty applies to residential use only. In instances where a Lomanco turbine has been installed for commercial use, the product is covered by a 15 year warranty.
