SoloFix, provides installaers with a one-piece, high performance fixing that installs up to 30% quicker than traditional two-piece clips. To demonstrate it's speed advantage over traditional clips.
The recent update to the British Standard for Slating and Tiling (BS 5534) has, as expected, changed wind-uplift formulas to account for the growing number of extreme weather events. Whilst this is a welcomed and important development for the industry, there could be a considerable impact on the speed of roof installation
As a result of the update, all single lap roof tiles, installed to the standard, will have to be mechanically fixed with a combination of clips and nails. The proportions of each will depend on factors including roof type, product, site location and pitch.
Clipping, whilst seen as the most effective method of fixing roof tiles, is also widely acknowledged as the most time consuming and capable of greatly slowing down roof installation.
In response, Marley have introduced SoloFix, a one-piece clip and nail, for all our standard interlocking tiles that not only installs up to 30% quicker than standard tile clips, but also delivers the performance of stainless steel fixings, at an affordable price.
