Description

With the needed thermal break and DPC properties of a cavity closer, REDSHIELD® is a standard profile cavity barrier that conforms to the requirements of Building Regulations Part B for fire integrity and insulation, without the need for extra lining materials. The outer casing is made of uPVC and contains a core of compressed mineral fibre wool.

REDSHIELD® can be used in both new build and refurbishment projects, and its unique design allows it to be adapted to different cavity sizes. As a result, it can provide a continuous seal across a range of cavity widths, including those that 'stray' in size.

The compressed mineral fibre wool insulating core provides 30 minutes of integrity and 15 minutes of insulation, as required by Building Regulation Approved Part B. Additionally, REDSHIELD® solves cold bridging issues by acting as a thermal cavity closer and DPC.

  • Fire rating: Tested Warringtonfire to BS EN 1366-4: 2006+A1: 2010 independently of other detail

Please note:

  • This cavity barrier is non-load bearing and must not be used as replacement for traditional methods of fixing window and doorframes to the masonry.
