Question:
HI I'm looking to cover a floor area of circa 2.5 x 3.3 m and i notice your rolls are smaller. Is there a bigger roll or is it a matter of butting up several pieces against each other? So desperate to block noise and don't want to reduce efficiency through any gaps/breaks etc. Thanks A
Answer:
The Resonate ResoMat 8 Acoustic Underlay only comes in 1200mm x 1200mm sheets. To cover your floor area of 2.5m x 3.3m, you would indeed need to butt several pieces together. However, rest assured that doing so won't reduce the sound-blocking performance as long as the sheets are fitted tightly with no gaps. For extra assurance, many installers opt to add acoustic tape over the seams. To cover your specified area, you would need about six sheets, which would also allow some spare for trimming.
