For easy and seamless operation, VELUX roof windows include high-quality pivot hinges. The red and blue line bracket system is simple so that you can identify standard and recessed installations, and the ventilation flap lets in fresh air despite windows being firmly shut. In order to ease cleaning of the outer pane, this window can be rotated 180° and secured with an in-built barrel bolt.
VELUX (66) triple glazing consists of safety lamination to prevent broken glass from falling inside your home, as well as strong toughened glass to resist force from external factors. The rain noise reduction ensures peace and tranquillity, while the UV filter stops furnishings from fading when exposed to the sun. Triple glazing also includes easy-to-clean and anti-dew layers that prevent dew build-up and, overall, improve your views. It is a three layer glazing that lessens cold and noise. It offers sound insulation of 37dB.
For homes that are high in practicality, electric operation is controlled remotely by a wireless wall switch. This convenient method is ideal for when windows are not within reach. As the completely integrated motor runs, it does so almost silently. The included rain sensors come in handy when it starts to rain and the window has been left open. They ensure that it closes automatically.
