This VELUX GGL SD5P2 is a centre pivot window with a white painted interior that is designed for fitting in conservation buildings. The external profiles and glazing bar are in RAL 9005 (black) to fit in with surrounding aesthetics and guidance on conservation buildings.
This double-glazed window comes with a glazing bar, BDX insulation collar, BFX underfelt collar and an EDJ recessed flashing kit for plain tiles up to 15mm thick.
The natural pine make-up of this conservation window is lacquered and then painted white on the inside to keep a modern and clean finish inside the property, regardless of the RAL 9005 colouring of the outside of the conservation window.
The laminated glazing in this conservation window is 6.4mm laminated inner pane with a 4mm toughened outer pane. The low-E outer pane coating combined with the thick inner pane means improved noise reduction.
The recessed flashing that comes with this window provide a sleek and streamlined finish as the window sits flush in the roofline, instead of protruding. This double-glazed window comes with a glazing bar, BDX insulation collar, BFX underfelt collar and an EDJ recessed flashing kit for slate up to 8mm thick.

Does the Velux centre-pivot conservation roof light feature trickle ventilation as part of the locking mechanism?
Answer:
Yes the opening bar can be set in a half open position which allows ventilation through the top of the window.
Question:
Can you add electric opening and or blinds to conservation windows?
Answer:
You can only add electric Blinds to electric opening windows, if your windows are manual you would need to have solar blinds if you wanted automatic operation. If you email us your window details to sales@roofingsuperstore.co.uk we can advise further on the correct ones for you.
