Wallbarn's Universal Extra adjustable pedestal range is suitable for both paving and decking. They are particularly ideal for porcelain tiles on flat roofs and podiums. Even flat roofs are built to a small fall to allow adequate drainage. The adjustable pedestals have a telescopic stem which allow you to make millimetre-precise manual adjustments in height in order to achieve a flat upper surface.
Universal Extra pedestals are a freestanding system, so no fixings are made through the membrane underneath, ideal for warm roofs and inverted waterproofing systems. They also come with an integrated acoustic shim on the headpiece. The pedestals create a cavity between the sub-deck and the paving/decking surface which helps ventilate the structure and allows services such as pipes and cables to be hidden from view.
Wallbarn's Universal EXTRA pedestals give installers greater flexibility when working across surfaces with very large differences in deck level as the height range is far greater across just three products: 85mm-135mm, 125mm-215mm and 210mm-380mm.
Often installers cannot be sure exactly where the fall will be on the roof or by how much. These pedestals have the heights marked out every 10mm on the side of stems, so users can see at a glance the exact height they are adjusting to without having to constantly re-measure. Each EXTRA pedestal comes complete with an extension shank which clicks into the baseplate. The threaded stem is then placed into the top of it.

Hi. So there isn't a strict minimum slab/tile size for use with the pedestals - however, limitations come from load distribution and stability.
So the smallest size that can safely sit on four corners supported by pedestals is 400mm x 400mm slabs.
