Acrypol Tech Seal PU is a seamless, liquid waterproofing membrane made up of single component PU. The polyurethane doesn’t need to be mixed with anything else, so this simple 2-coat system applies very easily. Applied by roller or brush to asphalt, bituminous felt, concrete, metal and single ply surfaces, this Acrypol liquid membrane is high performance.

Acrypol Tech Seal PU is rain proof in just 2 hours and will be fully cured in 4 hours. There’s a 20-year guarantee when this product is installed on flat roof, balconies, gutters and green roofs but it’s also applicable to podium decks, roofs, terraces and more. Acrypol Tech Seal PU is high performance and when it cures it presents a tough, durable and strong waterproof membrane.

This waterproofing membrane is for use on flat roof overlays and traditional roof build ups, but no primer is required for bitumen or asphalt roofs. For single ply PVC and metal roofs Acrypol TS PU Primer is required, for dry concrete Acrypol Porosity Sealer Flex primer is required, and for damp surfaces like timber or concrete then Acrypol TS Humidity Primer is required.

Application Method

1. Clean substrate of any loose materials, dirt , grease etc and dry the surface.
2. Do not apply any Primer or Base Coat to a wet surface
3. Tape and fill in any joints / cracks with PU Sealant.
4. Where a primer is required - apply as per the Instructions, and allow the primer to dry.
5. Apply the Base Coat of 1 kg per sq m to all upstands and roof outlets/details, While the Base Coat is wet roll in the FG Mesh and make sure the reinforcement is saturated.
6. Apply the Base Coat of 1 kg per sq m to all the flat areas and again roll in the FG Mesh Reinforcement and make sure this reinforcement is saturated, Allow to dry (4- 5 hours depending on the temperature and humidity )
7. After the Base Coat is dry inspect the Base Coat to see if any FG Mesh is sticking up/Wicking - and if so sand/abrade the fibres to achieve a flat finish.
8. Apply the final dark grey Top Coat of 1 kg per sq m over all the upstands/Roof-Outlets/details and then over all the flatroof area.

can I use this system over a Polyether (STP) liquid applied waterproofing system

Yes, you would be able to use the Acrypol Tech Seal PU over the top of a Polyether (STP) liquid. I would also recommend that you use Acrypol Flexible Reinforcement Mesh / Scrim White - 150mm x 20m | Roofing Superstore® as well if the roof has any current issues
