Suitable for mechanical and static ventilation of flat roofing, this Klober Flavent Breather and Extraction Vent is designed for living spaces to optimise airflow. Measuring 100mm, it creates a water-tight connection with PVC membranes and liquid plastics, helping remove stale air and moisture-rich areas like kitchens and bathrooms.
With particularly high protection against rain entry, it prevents the risk modern buildings have today with humidity. This humidity, if the roof is left unprotected, can penetrate the roof space and threaten the roof structure. A primary example is from moist air forming condensation under the waterproofing layer, leading to mould, rot or blisters developing.
Moisture entering the roof space via defective waterproofing can also create the same problems. Cold roofs must be ventilated to avoid the threat of this kind of damage. On unventilated warm roofs, with bituminous waterproofing membranes, moist air entering the roof space can lead to blisters forming on the waterproofing membrane. Eventually, these may crack or split, leading to damage to the deck and sub-structure.

Yes but you would need to mechanically fix the unit and use form flash tape to water seal the unit

Hi , can I use this product in a extractor hood to go straight up to a flat roof?
Answer:
This is suitable as long as the ducting coming off your extractor is also 100mm matching the vent terminal.
