Spicer Tiles are clay peg roof tiles manufactured in Britain from British clay. This attractive tile is perfect for use on barn conversions or to mix in with second hand Spicer peg tiles. With its unique pitted surface, these tiles are ideal where the benefits of a new clay tile is required, but weathers quickly to give a mellow aged look. They should be laid in accordance with BS:5534 and drawn from a minimum of 3 pallets to ensure the best effect.
Length: 255mm.
Width: 150mm.
Coverage: 70x tiles per m2 (roof), 64x tiles per m2 (vertical).
Minimum roof pitch: 40° (roof), 75° (vertical).
Headlap: 65mm (roof), 38mm (vertical).
Weight as laid: 84.7kg per m2 (roof), 72.6kg per m2 (vertical).
Batten spacing at max. gauge: 95mm (roof), 105mm (vertical).
Batten size - up to 450mm after centres: 38mm x 25mm.
Batten size - up to 600mm after centres: 38mm x 25mm.
Nail size/type for tiles: 40mm x 4.50mm aluminium clout nails.
Tiles are delivered on non returnable shroud wrapped pallets and pallets on site should be on firm, dry and level ground, no more than two pallets high. Due to limitations of the print process, colours should be selected from actual samples.
