Description

This VELUX smoke ventilation system includes all the necessary components for a complete installation such as a wall control unit (KFX 210), break glass point and smoke sensor. It also comes with an EDL flashing kit which is suitable for flat roofing materials up to 8mm thick, including roofing felt, membranes and slate.

Specifically designed to quickly release smoke and excess heat while complying with all EU regulations, the VELUX smoke ventilation window can rapidly open to a complete fire position within just 60 seconds when the smoke ventilation process is initiated. In addition to ensuring safety, this system can enable many functions such as automatic opening of the window and fresh air circulation to improve indoor comfort.

With a white polyurethane finish, the VELUX pitched roof window is resistant to moisture and requires no maintenance, making it ideal for use in humid environments like kitchens.

With double glazing, the VELUX sloped roof window offers multiple benefits including a UV filter which protects your furnishings from harmful UV radiation that can cause fading, a toughened outer pane for additional resilience and strength against external environmental factors and a laminated inner pane for safety to stop glass form falling in the room in the event of accidental breakage. It also features unique rain noise reduction that provides sound insulation of up to 35dB to ensure a peaceful environment, undisturbed by heavy rainfall.

  • Tested according to DIN EN 12101-2

Please note:

  • The EDL flashing is not suitable for use with interlocking slate.
  • For aerodynamic smoke ventilation, this system is certified to EN ISO12101-1 for roof pitches between 15° and 60°. For optimal aerodynamic ventilation areas, it can be upgraded with an optional KFD external wind deflector.
  • For geometric smoke ventilation, this system is certified to EN ISO12101-2 for roof pitches between 15° and 90°.
